Dollar Tree Cabinet Upcycle

A white dresser with sticker designs on the front of the drawers.This project cost me $1 to do! All I had to buy was the $1 decal from Dollar Tree. I got the cabinet from "loose trash" from the next door neighbor. It was in good condition but in need of some exterior improvement to "doll it up" a little!

Supplies:

  • primer paint
  • paint
  • decal
  • varnish
  • sponge brush
A sheet of furniture sticker designs.
 

Steps:

  1. Clean piece of furniture and paint 2 to 3 primer coats of paint all over the surface. Let dry at least one hour between coats. Paint 2 coats of paint over top of primer coat. Let dry a few hours between coats. Allow last coat to dry 24 hours.
  2. A small wooden dresser
     
    The painted dresser without drawers.
     
    The painted dresser drawer.
     
  3. Design arrangement of decals and apply, cutting when and if necessary.
  4. Placing the stickers on the dresser front.
     
  5. Apply a coat of varnish to keep the decals from peeling off.
  6. Adding sticker designs to the front of the dresser.
