Feeding A Dog With Parvo?

My dog is on his fourth day of parvo. He's been drinking water on his own, but hasn't been eating. I'm giving him penicillin, pedialyte and chicken broth, but he still gets happy to see people, like he's being so strong for us. His sister unfortunately didn't make it, so I'm scared he won't but I'm trying to stay positive. My question here is, how do I give him the nutrients from food? If he doesn't want to eat, what can I do to replace the meal?

So sad - sorry that his sister did not make it.
There are a couple of links on ThriftyFun about this that might help you take care of your pup.
Please read them and use whatever info you can for your situation.
It is usually recommended that you do not 'force feed' when they do not want to eat but should keep trying to find ways to provide some sort of nourishment in their fluids.
Please be careful about his 'playing' as he really needs to conserve his strength and should be provided an out of the way area to sleep and rest.

Love and encouragement seems to help so be sure to talk to him and give him extra attention. This is the kind of illness that takes a lot of your attention until he has recovered. Sometimes he may need fluids every 15 to 20 minutes when he is not drinking on his own. If he gets dehydrated, he may not make it.
This is from one vet:
'While your puppy is recovering it is important to make sure you do not feed table scraps. Stick to the diet recommended by your veterinarian. A prescription diet may have been sent home or a home cooked diet may have been recommended (such as boiled chicken and white rice, or fat free cottage cheese and pasta).'

Each animal is different with parvo, it's early in this stage, and eating most times comes slow. But when feeding your dog, it should be very mild, like chicken broth , meat based baby food- here is a link to others- doggysaurus.com/.../

As long as your dog is drinking, he is on the road to recovery. Parvo is an illness that can take a long time to get over. Start with very bland food. Save beef for last.
