Fixing a Broken Shoe with a Key Ring

A shoe that has been fixed with a key ring.Recently, I realized that shoving my shoes off with my other foot was going to come back on me. It did. The little pot-metal clip that the Velcro strap went through broke. I can't afford shoe repair so I did it myself.

Using a slightly "unsprung" key ring and some pliers, I was able to replace the clip with one that is not only stronger, but effective and free. If you do this, flatten out your first "go through" with the clip, then repair the circle shape as best you can to make it so there is still a double piece of metal inside the loop as well as outside.

N-JOY!
