Freezing Cooked Potatoes?

I have just found cold cooked spuds in the fridge. It looks like I'm going to have to throw them out as they have furry specs on them. Could I have frozen them? Thanks!:)

I froze some mashed potatoes after i realized I proably wasn't going to eat them anytime soon (shortly after making them) and when I defrosted them to eat, they were just fine

the freezer can sometimes mush food up, so they might come out mushy or whatnot, which is why as mash it was a good thing to do

Throw out those potatoes. Those furry specs are not supposed to be there. Potatoes don't freeze well, in general.
