Getting a New Dog After One Died of Parvo?

Is it safe for us to get a new pet in a new home after moving from an apartment where a dog just died from parvo?

You will have to make sure that all surfaces the dead dog was in contact with are thorough disinfected.

Yes as long as you get all his/her shots dont take him around dogs that never been shot or dirty cats.

You shouldn't have any problems if you take the new puppy to the vet for his shots before bringing him home. I would have the puppy vaccinated immediately. According to my daughter who lives in the US if you take a dog from an animal shelter or humane society they give the dogs their shots and fix the dog.

I believe she told me that she paid 60 dollars for her new dog. He came with all of his shots and was already fixed.
