Ginger is two years old. We got Ginger and Lumpy as 12 week old kittens when my husband had strokes 2 years ago. We knew that pets, especially cats, help to relieve stress and we got them to help with his recovery. Ginger is our "Trophy" cat lol. She is the bigger of the two kittens and is a calico.
She loves to just set around and be pretty! When my husband came home from the hospital, she took to him like she knew he needed her. She loves to play with the other cat, Lumpy, and they race through the house chasing each other. Her favorite thing is playing with pom poms and she runs off with them and lays in the bathtub. If you can't find her, you can be sure she will be laying in the tub relaxing.
Ginger is very affectionate and is not afraid of anyone. Even when the grandkids come, she loves to be around them. When strangers come to the door, she is the first to see who is knocking. She has a real fondness for treats and will beg for them, or rather demand them, lol, when she wants them. If she doesn't get them when she feels it's time, she will find a magazine or newspaper and begin to shred it. She knows how to get her way!
