Good Seasons Italian Salad Dressing Recipe

Italian Salad Dressing Mix like Good Seasons
Serves : 20

  • 1 tsp. minced carrot
  • 1 tsp. minced red bell pepper
  • 3/4 tsp. lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1/8 tsp. dried parsley flakes
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp. onion powder
  • 2 tsp. granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 tsp. dry pectin
  • 1 pinch ground oregano

Bake carrot and red pepper on a cookie sheet in 250 degree F oven for 45-60 minutes, until completely dry, but not browned. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. -Store in a sealed container until needed.

To make dressing, shake together 1/4 cup white vinegar, 3 Tbls. water, and dressing mix. Add 1/2 cup vegetable oil and shake until well blended (06/20/2008)

Hi Mary, I love it too I have never made this but here goes.

Good Reasons Italian Dressing Mix


  • 1 Tbsp. garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp. onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. dried oregano
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley, freeze-dried
  • 1/8 tsp. mustard powder
  • 1 Envelope Lipton Cup-A-Soup Cream of Chicken*
  • 1/4 tsp. celery salt
  • 2 Tbsp. seasoned salt (or Mrs. Dash)
  • 1 Tbsp. dried grated lemon peel

Mix all ingredients together and force through a fine mesh sieve with back of a large spoon. Store covered and use within 4-5 months. For use: Combine 2 tablespoons of mix with 1/4 cup vinegar, 2/3 cups oil, 2 tablespoons water. Shake mixture vigorously. Makes 1 cup.

* Use 1 envelope of the soup mix or 2 square soda crackers well crushed plus 1.5 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder plus 1 teaspoon non dairy creamer powder (06/21/2008)
