Beaded Key Ring - brightly colored bead key ring or fobBeaded key rings are easy to make and make a great gift. You can make them for bazaars, craft stalls, or charity sales too and if you choose bright colours they will attract people to your stall. You can also add more strings of beads and use this as a handbag charm.

Supplies:

  • 6 large holed beads (or more)
  • cord, string, or narrow ribbon
  • pair of scissors
  • 1 key ring

Steps:

  1. Cut a length of cord about 15 to 20 inches long. Fold it in half and tie it onto the keyring.
    2. Beaded Key Ring - tie length of cord onto ring
     
  2. Pull the knot tight.
    3. Beaded Key Ring - tightened cord
     
  3. Thread a bead onto one of the cords.
    4. Beaded Key Ring - adding first bead
     
  4. Pass the second cord through the bead in the opposite direction.
    5. Beaded Key Ring - pass the second cord through the bead in the opposite direction

  5. Pull it tight.
    6. Beaded Key Ring - pull tight
     
  6. Repeat with another bead.
    7. Beaded Key Ring - repeat with another bead
     
  7. Pull it tight up against the first bead.
    8. Beaded Key Ring - pull tight against the first bead
     
  8. Repeat with more beads to reach the length you want.
    9. Beaded Key Ring - continue until you reach the length you want
     
  9. Tie a knot behind the last bead to hold them all in place.

  10. Trim off any excess cord.

  11. And there you have it - quick and easy to make.
