I want to restore this family hand-me-down. How was it origianally woven on back, what knob on top was removed? What rattan to buy? Seat had a sheet made pattern on back with a screw in frame on bottom and no cane groove. If anyone has similar rocker or photo from a book, I would greatly appreciate!

I have searched Google, Ebay and Pinterest but have not found that chair exactly. Thought maybe someone would have a book of Antique American Rockers.
Your chair may be vintage or antique and I'm not sure anyone other than a furniture craftsman can answer your questions.
I would suggest you try contacting some of the forums that work with repairing furniture. Many will be knowledgeable about this style of chair.
