Identifying a Bug?

Identifying a BugI found this guy on my jeans that have been on the floor for 12 hours. I've never seen any like this. I live in Ontario and being December can't see it being tracked in accidentally from brush, being it -16C outside. I do live in an apartment building on the top floor (7th) and been here for 3 years.

This looks like a carpet beetle. Vacuum and throw away the bag, if your vacuum has one. Notify the landlord and tell him or her to get an exterminator

How big is it? If it is as big as a thumb nail it could be a stink bug. They come in a variety of colors and some are spotted. If that is what it is, best to take outside or flush, as they smell if smooshed.

Talk to the landlord if you see more than a few. We had them in my office which was on the 42nd floor! They travel and appear seemingly out of no where!

Id say 2-4mm in size. Looked at a bunch of pictures of carpet beetles and could not find any the the distinctive markings and shape.

Stink bugs are a bit larger than that, although I am reading that they are mutating and so that is still an option.

Maybe your home extension office can help you:

In the US, especially where I am in PA, they are quite helpful.
