Identifying a Bug in the Basement?

Identifying a Bug in the Basement - small brown bugWe had a flood in the basement a few weeks ago and sewage backed up also. We are in a duplex and we cleaned and sanitized our side the next day. However our neighbor still has not been home to clean out her side and now I have seen a couple of these bugs. I'm worried that her side is the culprit. Do you know what type of bug this is?

It is a waterbug. Disgusting, but harmless.

The picture is a little blurry so I am not positive it could either be a June bug or a water bug...I am attaching links to help you decide (to me water bugs look more like cockroaches and this fella doesn't look as much like a cockroach as is typical, but there are lots of varieties of water bugs so it is best you look at yours and the pix to decide):

If neither are accurate, bottle it up and take it to the hardware store or garden shop and let them tell you.

It may or may not be from your neighbor, as sometimes in the summer bugs just get inside. Who knows why.

Hope you get an answer and that your neighbor takes care of their issues soon. SO frustrating when things are out of your control.
