Inexpensive Dental Work?

I am in so much pain all my teeth are bad and need to come out. I can't eat or sleep. I am pregnant and I can't give my baby what it needs if I can't even feed myself? Can anyone help me please? I haven't gotten to sleep in 4 days and I am so hungry I can't stand up. It has taken all I have to type this. Can anyone help me with suggestions for inexpensive dental work options.

You have to check where you live. We don't know what is available there. Some cities/counties have pro-rated clinics for doctors and dentists. Call your county welfare office or the department of social services and see if they know of anything. If there is a dental school nearby you might get help there, however, here all they do is an exam and clean the teeth.

There are some foods you should be able to eat without pain, things like soups, mashed potatos, etc.

If you are pregnant and that hard up, you should be receiving some form of assistance. Where I live that type of assistance provides dental work.

I have been in the same situation but not pregnant. First off, waiting for this to post is not a good use of your time. By now you would realistically be in the hospital.

Please call your local assistance office and see if you can't get some help. Call St. Vincent de Paul and Salvation Army. As a last resort, go to the emergency room. They have to help you regardless of your income and to save your baby, they would be the ones to stop the pain. As redhattrb suggested, I lived for 3 weeks on the following diet:

Instant mashed spud soup (simply put in an extra cup of water or milk).
Instant spuds and gravy.
Pudding
Yogurt
Milkshakes
And of course, lots and lots of vitamins.

Another option is to get a blender and puree everything. It's amazing what you can make when it's all you have.

Please get some help. I will be up nights worrying now.

Go to www.findahealthcenter.hrsa.gov
to locate a federally funded health center that provides medical and dental care with sliding-scale fees based on your ability to pay.
