Someone posted a similar question a while back. You need to find someone familiar with masks.
I do not research masks but I can make some suggestions that may help you find the information you're looking for.
Masks usually have special meanings and it is very difficult to determine what country they came from unless you have a lot of knowledge about masks in general.
Try ask your question on Reddit as someone usually has information and they like to answer. Reddit can be confusing but join and ask questions if you have problems.
You can ask questions about this mask and also your painting and if you are working with items from storage units this is good site to use for all sorts of items.
