"The B.L Marble was a very well-known company that started in 1910 and closed in 1985.
The BL Marble chair company began in Bedford, OH in 1894 and closed in 1985. The Marble and Shattuck Chair Company preceded it. The company produced all chair types until the 20's when it focused on commercial chairs for bankers, barristers and the like. The Bedford (OH) Historical Society has many of the chairs.

They are apparently also eager to assist owners with identifying and dating your particular chair model to the best of their ability."
