It could be a mix, and doesnt look purebred. You can always have a dna test done.

Awww!! Is this the sibling of the one you posted the other day? This pup is adorable!!

I know someone commented the other one did not have the correct marks for a panda GSD, but to me it reminded me of one I knew a while back. Since none of my friends show (any more--some did when they were much younger and before kids), today they don't pay much attention to papers and such for the reason below...

Their (and my) take on breeding is unless you are guaranteed a pure breed by personally knowing the parents and parents' parents and parents' parents' parents, every dog has a little Heinz 57 sauce mix somewhere in their history which accounts for every fur child looking just a hair different to "breed standards". I can say this because I don't breed them...just love them all!

Have you asked the vet to weigh in on his provenance? I would love to hear what the vet says!

Post back what you learn!! Hugs to this sweet face pupster!

Actually no, this one IS a purebred Panda...just wanted to see the comments and peoples thoughts on the panda breed as it's highly debated of who is and who isn't. I did do a DNA test on the other guy just for knowing sake lol we don't really care if he is or not just obviously gonna try and put my husband and I debate to rest

I still think you will need a DNA test to tell you what you want to know.
These test kits are available at pet supply stores (PetSmart is a great store for pets) as well as your vet and on line and worth the money if the full breed is important to you.

You can see that he (?) resembles a Panda German Shepherd but since this is not a 'common' breed with German Shepherds it is difficult to tell.

it seems that each Panda GS is an individual in color and most markings so it may be difficult to tell from appearances.

The most important thing you can do for your pup is to have regular vet visits and be sure he/she is up to date with shots/vaccines.
Viruses are all around and can be deadly if pup is not protected.

He does not look like a full-blooded GSD. I do believe he is a mixed breed.

This dog looks like a full blooded GSD to me. Very pretty! I had never seen the panda coloring before. Thanks for sharing.
