Layered Pineapple Cake

This cake is made by layering the ingredients together over each other. There is not really any stirring. It has pineapple, cherry, and pecans blended with yummy yellow cake mix.

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Pour pineapple and juice into 13x9 inch baking pan.
  3. Pour cherry pie filling over pineapple; spread evenly.
  4. Pour dry cake mix over cherries and pineapple. Spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle pecans over cake mix.
  6. Slice margarine thinly and put over top.
  7. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.

Yes, a "dump cake"... It can be altered to lemon/poppyseed; chocolate/cherry; wherever your mind leads! It is a great cake! My Granmommie always made & she always said, "when you can smell it, it's done!"

I really enjoy them a lot too! I didn't know they were called Dump Cakes though, that is cool to know!
