Folded Oilcloth style table cloth on a wooden table. To turn almost any fabric into a substitute for oilcloth, cut clear contact paper to cover the fabric. Press out "bubbles". Set iron on lowest setting and place a thin pressing cloth on top of contact paper covered fabric. Press for 20-30 seconds. When cool, check to see the contact paper has fused to the cloth. As for oilcloth, do not iron or wash in the washing machine.
