Making Simple Suet Cakes - place can in the suet feederWe always pour the oils collected from our (George Foreman) grill into a tin can, add bird seed (dusted in a little wheat flour or ground oatmeal) and leave it cool down (or freeze) and then place in our suet feeders.

I decided to leave the can in..since I wasn't sure if the oils would melt and it could help catch both the oil and seeds if it did. We didn't get hot enough days for it to melt though and my birds ate it right up!
