How do I make white flower oil? I have the ingredients, am just not sure how to mix it. I believe it takes 2 weeks, but I am not understanding why.

The recipe here just requires you to mix the ingredients. You can use it right away. deeprootsathome.com/.../

Dear Judy It works beautifully. Perfect for camping. Bites stop itching and aches and pains disappear. Great stuff. Thankyou

I never heard of this until I saw your post. I really prefer homeopathic vs. to store bought so this sounded interesting!

Can you share the type of bottles you are using to store this in and where you found them? Everything I read says to use cobalt blue or brown bottles, but aside from really expensive ones found online, I can't find any local resources and reusing bottles I have seems risky.

To that point, different sites talk about how to sterilize your bottles. Some say just wash well with hot water, and some say you have to do like you do for canning jars--the boiling method. I would think you would have to boil them, but I don't know how to figure out of the cobalt and brown bottles are safe to boil. This is one time Google has not been my friend with clear answers.

Thanks for any info you can share!

I bought little bottles from Amazon with a roller ball at the top not to expensive and topped up with Argan oil so its not so neat on the skin and easy to apply. They are blue. And didnt even think of washing them. Whoops. And I guess any glass you can boil. I make a lot of jam and sterilise by pouring boiling water in to jars and air drying. Also if you go into Neils Yard or any chemist they sell little bottles or can get them for you.

Hope this helps.

Thank you! This is very helpful!!!

I used to can foods (sauces and salsas) when I was much younger and used to sterilize the bottles by boiling, but they were always clear jars. I will have to make sure if I do this, that the color bottles are safe to boil.

I am a bit of a germ-a-phobe, I guess because I once got very sick from something that was canned improperly. My skin is also very sensitive and I am always nervous about breaking out from products.

I do like the idea of a roller ball. I would not have thought of that!

Thanks for sharing!
