A side hustle is a business you start on the side without leaving your current job. Usually it involves something that you enjoy doing or a hobby that might not be something you could just quit your day job for right away but it can develop into something more depending on how well it's received, marketing, etc.
I thought that was what you meant but could not verify it as I had never heard it used in that manner.
Thanks for the explanation as I looked it up in several dictionaries and all gave different "choices" but nothing like how you are using it.
