No Fat Vegan Pie Crust

Rolling out the pie crust dough.There are a few good vegan pie crusts in the link I post below and I may post more than one. This one is interesting because it does work very well as a pie crust but it has NO fat of any kind. It is still good, but not as soft. But if no fat or calorie reduction is important to you, it is good to have this option available.

Steps:

  1. Put 1 1/4 cups of flour in a bowl and salt. This should be enough for one crust.
  2. Adding flour to a mixing bowl.
     
  3. Boil water.
  4. As soon as it is boiling, pour onto the flour and immediately begin mixing the flour and water with a kitchen implement. WARNING - do not touch with your hand!
  5. Adding hot water to the pie crust mixture.
     
  6. When it starts to ball up, spread it on a floured cutting board, flour the top, and roll it out.
  7. The pie crust mixture in a bowl.
     
    Placing the pie crust dough on a surface before rolling it out.

  8. It is ready to use immediately, but it also works well if you let it rest in the fridge for a while.
