The finished letter with a sticker closure.Write a message on a piece of plain paper and fold it into what looks like an envelope. This is a really cute and thoughtful way to send out love or invitations. In this digital age, it would probably be very much appreciated over the usual text messages.

Supplies for Origami Folded Letter


  1. Write your message on a square of paper.
  2. A letter written on decorative origami paper.
  3. Fold the paper in half diagonally.
  4. Folding the letter in half crosswise.
  5. Open it out.
  6. Opening up the folded letter.
  7. Fold it in half in the other direction but only make a crease at the centre.
  8. Folding the letter the other direction.
  9. Open it out again.
  10. Unfolding the letter.

  11. Fold opposite corners to the centre fold where the two creases meet.
  12. Folding the top and bottom corners down.
  13. Open out the top fold.
  14. Unfolding the top corner.
  15. Fold the bottom up again.
  16. Folding the letter.
  17. Imagine the bottom edge divided into three and fold in the two sides so they cross over as shown.
  18. Folding the letter into an envelope shape.
  19. Fold back and crease the top point.
  20. Folding the letter.

  21. Press gently on the point to open it out.
  22. Folding the corners of the letter.
  23. Then flatten it into a diamond shape.
  24. Folding the letter.
  25. Fold the top down.
  26. The completed folded letter before sealing.
  27. Tuck the corner into the diamond.
  28. The folded letter with a fold as a seal.
  29. Add a cute sticker to hold it in place.
  30. Closing the letter with a decorative sticker.
