Preventing Splitting Fingernails?

I had this problem with a nail that was splitting vertically down my nail - ow! I fixed it by putting a bit of clear nail polish on my nail and then placing a layer of tissue on top. I would carefully tamp it down with the bristles of the polish brush while applying another layer of the clear polish. It doesn't look so hot, but my nails were driving me crazy. I just repeated it multiple times and voila!

Buy a bottle of Nail Tek11, you can find it in most drug stores.
