Protect Paint Label While Painting

Silver Post Medal for All Time! 418 Posts

Covering the paint can in paper.I purchased a quart of paint to do a job and used only 1/4 of the paint. I will be using it again soon.

To protect the writing on the label, I covered the outside of the can with paper before opening it. While painting, I made a mess around the top of the can and some paint ran down the side. When I took the protecting paper off, there was no paint on the label. It worked.

It may be good to cover it twice so if the wet drips cause a problem while painting, you can remove one of the covers leaving a clean cover.

If you have to piece the paper, painters tape will not tear the label.
