This recipe is common in some countries, but where I live it is an unusual food. This is my first time trying a stuffed bell pepper recipe. I call it Valentine boat as the red peppers look like hearts and at the same time a boat.
4 pieces large red bell peppers
1 bulb onion
1/3 cup pork chops
2-3 Tbsp cheese spread
3 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp brown sugar
Mince onions and cut bell peppers into half. Wash off the seeds.
Mix salt, sugar, vinegar and water.
Soak both onions and bell peppers for 5-10 minutes in water mixture.
Remove bell peppers from water mixture. Then heat in a pan or grill them and set aside.
Fry pork chops until brown and crisp.
Chop the pork into smaller pieces.
Start stuffing bell peppers with pork.
Drain the onions and add on top of each piece.
Drizzle some cheese spread.
Grate mozzarella on top of your stuffed bell peppers. Add salt and pepper to taste.
