Removing Fabric Dye That Transferred in Wash?

I have a purple Cheshire cat sweater and realized it had purple Rit dye from a shirt I dyed a month ago. I tried taking the dye out by re-washing the sweater but still nothing. Please help it's one of my favorite sweaters!
