Repairing Elastic Bracelets

When the elastic in a bracelet stretches, most think it's a lost cause. Many get tossed or recycled into other things (my personal fav'). But if you love the work and want to save it, it's super easy.

Some are flexible enough to turn inside out. I just used some crochet thread to tie two of the sides together and that did the trick.

But, some are too big to turn. You have to tighten, then tie the two loose ends together underneath. This is sort of like tying your apron ties behind your back. But, if there is enough slack, it is possible.

I love these two pieces and it was either recycle them or save them. As you can see, they are going to be around for a while.

Hope this helped.
