Repairing a Brother Typewriter?

Repairing a Brother Typewriter - closeup of a typewriterI just bought a Brother Correct-o-Ball XL-I and when I turned it on the dash (-) was being typed on the page rapidly. I think the key may be stuck or there might be something more wrong with the machine, being as I bought it at a thrift store. It won't let me type any other letter, or number. Could someone help me with my problem?

It is going to be hard to find parts or a person to repair this. Go back to the thrift store and ask for a refund. In the future, dont buy electronics at garage sales or thrift stores unless you can try out beforehand. Even if they do work, there is no guarantee how long they will work, so get them as cheaply as possible
