Prep Time: 4

Cook Time: 6

Total Time: 10

Yield: 2

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz rib eye steak
  • 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • dash pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp fish sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • spring salad
  • onions
  • tomatoes

Steps:

  1. I used rib eye steak about 1" thick, but the kind of steak is your preference. Clean the steak and pat dry. In a bowl marinate the rib eye steak on the both sides with salt, pepper, sugar and fish sauce. Set the steak aside in the fridge to marinate for at least 15 minutes, preferably 1 hour prior to cooking.
  2. After marinating is completed, get a pan and use vegetable oil until hot. Add garlic cloves and put the steak into the pan. Cook on medium heat for 3 minutes per side. Steak cooks very quickly so keep an eye on it!
  3. Prep sliced onions, tomatoes and salad for the steak to be on top. *Optional if you want caramelized onions you can add it to when you are cooking the steak.
  4. Set your steak (sliced or not, preference is yours) on top of your bed of salad and dash of salt. Enjoy.
