Sewing Machine Not Getting Power?

The light on my sewing machine doesn't glow when I plug in the speed controller and there is not any movement in the machine to be seen at all. So I am wondering if it's the machine or the speed paddler that isn't working! Please suggest what to do?

Normally the machine receives power when the speed paddler is plugged into the machine and the wall socket. If you are not receiving any power to the machine this will indicate that the speed paddler is bad or has a short. I would suggest testing the speed pladdler with a voltmeter to make sure it is receiving current. If not then it needs to be replaced.

It can be an issue with the motor or a broken wire to the speed peddler.
