My model 15 Singer sewing machine SN# AK497758 is continually breaking the thread on the top. What can I do? I've re-threaded and put a new bobbin on. I oiled and lubricated it as well. It just started doing this after I snagged the needle, breaking it in the process. Please help.

Make sure there isnt a piece of needle snagging the machine. Also, make sure the thread is not old. Old thread dries out and breaks
Make sure your top thread spool didn't "backlash" and tighten thread around the spool holder. Also, try re-threading the machine from spool, all the way to needle, to make sure thread is running through tension discs correctly.
