Shorty (Dorkie - Dachshund/Yorkie mix) and Bella (Shepherd mix) are both about 4 years old. They are both rescue dogs. Even though there is 40 lbs. difference in their size, Shorty and Bella are best buds. They play and wrestle all day, being careful to never hurt one another. When they finally get tired, they flop together on the couch. Bella, who's bigger, likes to use Shorty as a pillow, but he doesn't mind! Shorty has learned to say, "I love you," but what he really means is, "I love dog cookies"!

What a cute story! It's so nice when our pets bond so well with each other. Two of my cats are close pals, but neither is very friendly with the third. I feel a little bad for her - I guess 3 is a crowd! I really can't afford to adopt another right now, but sometime I will consider it to give her a friend of her own (hopefully).
