Silhouette Bunny Card - finished card ready to giveThis is a cute silhouette bunny card that anyone can make. You can apply this concept with washi tape or ribbon too. It is very simple, yet looks really nice and thoughtful to give, as it's handmade. This can be framed as a modern art piece too.

Total Time: 15-30 minutes

Yield: 1 card

Supplies:

Silhouette Bunny Card - supplies

Steps:

  1. Find a bunny silhouette you want to print out (or you can freehand your silhouette of choice). The bunny silhouette I used, was found here: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/320248223488009802/. I printed the bunny and cut around removing the excess paper. Then I put glue within the outline of the bunny and stuck it down on my card. My card is a 8.5 by 11 inch card stock folded in half.
  2. Silhouette Bunny Card - print out a bunny shape

Silhouette Bunny Card - put glue on the wrong side with the outline of the bunny

Silhouette Bunny Card - stick down to the front of the card

  3. Open your card, using an X-acto knife trace around to cut the bunny silhouette out.
  4. Silhouette Bunny Card - use knife to cut away the bunny shape

  5. Using assorted scrapbook paper, cut thin strips. I cut mine into 1/2" inch strips.
  6. Silhouette Bunny Card - scrapbook papers

Silhouette Bunny Card - use paper cutter to cut strips of different colors

  7. Open your card up and apply glue all around the bunny silhouette.
  8. Silhouette Bunny Card - open the card

Silhouette Bunny Card - apply glue around the bunny cut out

  9. Find the order of paper strips you want (as a theme, or however you'd like) and glue down the strips with the colors facing toward the front. Repeat until completed.
  10. Silhouette Bunny Card - arrange and glue strips with right side out

Silhouette Bunny Card - first piece in place as seen from outside of card

Silhouette Bunny Card - continue until the entire silhouette is filled

Silhouette Bunny Card - view of completed card with papers glued on

  11. To hide the strips of paper, use scrapbook paper and glue down. Then cut off the remainder. Your card is complete, you are ready to write your message in the card and give to your recipient.
  12. Silhouette Bunny Card - cover the strips with another piece of scrapbook paper

Silhouette Bunny Card - cut off the excess
