I'm turning 14 in May and my dad said I could have a party but nothing too big or expensive. It will be a mix of girls and boys. I really need ideas that will be fun and not lame.

May is a good time for the outdoors. Go to a park and have a softball game. Use the money you saved by not renting a place and serve hero sandwiches with plenty of drinks and birthday cake.
