Some Rooms Lost Power After Installing a Ceiling Light?

My husband put up a light fixture in the living room. He turned the breakers off for the living room. He installed it and when he put the power back on the light worked, but my stove doesn't work. Also my dryer in the basement doesn't work and my bedroom upstairs has no power either.

He checked the breakers to make sure everything was flipped back on, but still no power. The kitchen light works and the fridge, but not the stove. The furnace works, but not the dryer and my upstairs bedroom doesn't work. But the bathroom and hall and spare room work. Any idea?
