Immediately pour into prepared pan. Bake 25-35 minutes for cake; 18-20 minutes for cupcakes. This is wonderful with fresh fruit on top with some Cool Whip. YUM!

My grandmother made a sponge cake and the frosting was butter and then covered with crushed peanuts.
It sounds simple enough, but I do not know if she used salted or unsalted butter. The peanuts I am sure were roasted in the shell. Has anyone heard of this?

If the peanuts were roasted in the shell they would not be salted. However, with everyone using 'salted caramel' flavours, you may want to try the salted ones.
