I am looking for a peanut sponge cake recipe. It has crushed peanuts on the butter cream frosting.
Hi, I dont know exactly any Peanut Sponge Cake recipie but i do know where you can probably find one. You should try http://www.allrecipes.com or http://www.reciperewards.com There you just have to type in what kind of recipes that you want and they give you a list of things that are related. Hope that it works and that you find the recipie that you want.
This looks like the one you are looking for:
My grandmother made a sponge cake and the frosting was butter and then covered with crushed peanuts.
It sounds simple enough, but I do not know if she used salted or unsalted butter. The peanuts I am sure were roasted in the shell. Has anyone heard of this?

If the peanuts were roasted in the shell they would not be salted. However, with everyone using 'salted caramel' flavours, you may want to try the salted ones.
