If you have cats, go to a restaurant supply store and buy a metal mess scoop that is used to remove items from the deep fryer. Use this as your kitty litter scoop. It will never break, bend, or fail you in any way.

I always use metal scoops that you use with deep fryers. You can pick them up at yard sales real cheap and they do a good job and last longer than the plastic ones.
What a brilliant idea! And an added benefit is that since they are usually Stainless Steel, they wash easily and are much more sanitary than the plastic and more eco-friendly too!
Great idea, will try this one next time I'm anywhere near a shopping centre.
They also make metal litter scoopers. Yes, metal is sooo much better than plastic. Now if we could only get the cats to clean up after themselves, we'd be set!
I use a metal one, too, but I wish I could find a long-handled one because I have back problems. If anyone knows of somewhere I can get one, please let me know. Thanks.
