Training a Rescued Pit Bull?

My 2 year old female Pit Bull that I rescued last year is jumping at people for no reason. She wags her tail at them and gets along with them sometimes. How can I fix this issue?

She may have experienced trauma in her past that you know nothing about. I would invest in a professional trainer.

Is this a new behavior or an ongoing one?

If it is new, please have the vet check her to make sure something isn't going on medically or with her vision. Sometimes when dogs have vision issues, they lunge at someone because they are not seeing clearly.

If it is an ongoing issues, I would work with the vet on a two prong approach of seeing if a medication or pheromone treatment would help and locate a good dog trainer. It should only take a few sessions to get you both in sync and get the problem under control. Consistency and rewards are the key.

Post back with an update. Prayers for an easy solution.
