The completed note pads.It's 2023 now! Do you have any 2022 planners? While cleaning, I found a few 2022 planners that I used half way but never really utilized the planner to the fullest. While flipping through the planner there were lots of potential.

What can you do with expired planners? Here are some ideas:

  • Use as scrap paper
  • Continue using as normal just re-writing the days of the week
  • Make a journal
  • Let kids draw or sketch
  • Salvage pieces of the planner

I upcycled my planner into 2 notebooks - 1 for notes and 1 with squares (also will use for notes).

Total Time: 25 minutes

Yield: 2 notebooks

Supplies:

Steps:

  1. Flip through your planner and see what pages can be salvaged. My planner had nice thicker paper for the months (can use that as the cover for the notebooks I'll be making). I had calendar squares blank and note pages unused. Tear pages you'll be using out.
    2. A wire bound planner.
     
  2. Using paper cutter, cut papers in the size you want. I cut up the notes and the calendar squares.
    3. Pages from a recycled planner.

  3. Using scrap paper from the planner, I cut to size to fit the note paper.
    4. Making a cover for the notepad.
     
    Assembling a long and skinny notepad.
     
  4. Assemble and staple together. Your notebook is now completed.

  5. Repeat same steps for the next one journal.
