Using Sturdy Head Bands Instead of Rubber Bands

A headband being used as a rubber band around an open bag of potting mix.I can't afford good rubber bands. And if I had a nickel for every time the ones I had broke just when I needed them . . .

So when I am at the Dollar Tree, I get the 6/$1.00 packet of head bands. Today was potting soil. I have also used these to keep the bag inside the trash can, tie up tomato plants, bundled cords and chargers, secured my flagpole in the wind, held doors open when I was moving in, and tied my towel to the oven door.

They are versatile and so cheap. And to be honest, they smell much better than rubber and don't hurt my hands if they break! N-JOY!

Those do work very well. I often save the sturdy rubber bands that are around produce for jobs like this too.
