Is it safe to use tea tree oil on my Pomeranian in his bathwater?

Though tea tree oil can be considered toxic for pets, it is considered safe at levels of 0.1% to 1%. I have to imagine that a few drops in the bathwater is well within the range.

Thanks very much for that info.
Thats exactly what I'm looking for.
But .1% to 1.0% per what?
1% per GALLON of ingested material?
1% per PINT of material?
1% per BATHTUB of material?
I ask this because i had some on my skin, diluted at a 4parts vegetable to 1 part tea tree, and he took a very quick, brief lick.

He's ok this next day, but how worried should i be?

I would not give my dog anything without discussing it with the vet.
