Using Vinegar for Cleaning

Here are a few suggestions for when cleaning or deodorizing with vinegar. Make sure you're using white vinegar not apple cider.

Use vinegar in the rinse cycle of your washing machine because many detergents leave a residue that we don't realize. This will help if you have sensitivities also.

Vinegar also neutralizes bleach. If you use bleach too often on clothing it will eventually cause pitting (tiny holes). Just use vinegar in the rinse water. If you want to test this out, put a tiny bit of bleach on your finger and try rinsing it off. You will find that it is very difficult to do. Now put a bit of vinegar on the same area and you will find that the slippery feeling is gone. One is an acid and the other is a base and they counteract each other.
