Value of Dixie Bedroom Set?

A long chest of drawers. I have this Dixie bedroom set and am not sure what it's worth. I know some sets can go for a decent amount of money, but I'm not sure about this one. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

In my area these do not sell at all. You can start at $400 and reduce the price until you can sell it.

Thank you for your response! Where do you live? Im in NJ. I think I will keep it in my spare bedroom anyway instead of selling. Just thought Id inquire.

This is a very nice bedroom group so I'm very glad you have decided to keep it.
What is 'value' compared to 'worth'?
Value can just be a price someone paid for an item like yours and could be high or low.

Worth? Worth can mean so many different things to people but it all boils down to; why are you asking about the value of an item?
No room? Need money (I mean really need money)? Flipping and need to make a profit? Inherited and its just not your style? Just tired of looking at it and want something new?
All of these reasons can have different sentiments about value and worth. All of the reasons except one will have to do with 'how much can I get for this item?
The one reason that seems to fit your question is that you have this set and maybe you would like something else for your extra bedroom. If that is anywhere near your reason, I would like to say that you may be able to sell this set (maybe one piece at a time) and eventually receive several thousand dollars (or much less) but what will it cost you to replace it with something you may like better? Something of this same quality?

You may never find a bedroom 'set' in your area that would be to your taste and if you have to buy from a store your cost will be much more.
I believe that if you can be satisfied with having this lovely set in your home the 'worth' of the set far outweighs the 'value'.

If you still wish to know the value then most likely another member, PGHgirl will weigh in and tell you a lot more than I have offered.
Hope you enjoy having this set for many years to come.

Hello! I hear what you are saying! I inherited it recently from my grandmothers house. I am assuming its from the 60s- 70s.

I am most likely keeping it for the sentimental value and also because I kind of like it.

This is a beautiful set and ignore any remarks you may hear about 'brown' furniture not being 'in fashion' as that is only true in some parts of the country and all you have to do is go to sold listings and see that the majority of sales fall in this shade or a little lighter.
I still like it and I think you have the date about right.
Hopefully you will have someone in your family that will love to 'inherit' it one day in the far off future.

Set your bedroom up and sometimes when you need a 'lift' just walk in that bedroom and feel the warmth and love that is associated with this set.
