We are papering over an embossed wallpaper. We have put a lining paper on, but the joins are showing through. We cannot take embossed paper off, as the old house plaster will come off with it. Please help.

Try a thin layer of sheet rock mud. Skimming over the surface with it. Could also apply 1/4" sheetrock or paneling. Good luck
