What Breed Is My Dog?

What Breed Is My Dog?So I'm really curious as to what breeds my puppy can possibly be. I was told at the shelter she is a Shepherd mix, but she seems way too tiny to be a Shepherd mix. Her coat is black and she has a white patch on her chest and paws. She is currently 12 weeks old and only 13 lbs. Does anyone know what else she may be?

Until the dog it older it is hard to determine the breed/mixed breed if the owner did not give you this information.

  1. You will need to do a DNA test if you want to know the breed or mixed breed of your dog.
  2. Your vet can do the test for you, but it is rather expensive.
  3. Go to your local pet shop or online and purchase a home DNA kit for dogs.
  4. Take the kit home and do the test yourself. This is the only way to know what breed your dog is.
