What Is This Houseplant?

I've been taking care of this plant that my grandmother gave me. It was not labeled and she did not know what it was. Any ideas?

I think it is a type of schefflera. Water it evenly and give it light.

I am usually really good with plant IDingand this one has me puzzled. It may be in the Madagascar Jewel family. Check with your local home extension office and ask. A link by state is offices.sc.egov.usda.gov/.../app

Your plant looks a lot like a peace lily. Check out the information at gardening.stackexchange.com/.../can-this-peace-lily-be-saved to learn what causes a plant to look like your plant does and how to hopefully revive the plant. Good luck.
