This does look like a beetle to me. There are so many variety of different beetles. In order to get rid of these it will be necessary to clean them up and vacuum them up. Lay down some sticky flypaper to trap them as they run around the room. Throw the paper away when you have quite a few of them stuck there and also lay down a new one. it will take time to get rid of them. If you can find out where they are coming from it is best to try and plug up the hole to keep them from getting in your home. Also look around and see if you can find the nest and get rid of this so no more eggs can hatch.

This looks like a Knat , there are biting and non biting insects. They like to hang around plant like, moisture like areas, decaying items. en.wikipedia.org/.../gnat - You can get rid of them with regular insecticide or through a service if you feel it is to much for you to control.

Try sifting a bit of D.E. around the perimeter of whatever room(s) you find any insect in. Also the outside of your home. Most all insects clean themselves. When they reach the D.E it will dry them out - from the inside out. COOL! Within 4 or so hours you should be rid of anything (except spiders) Spiders takes TAURUS SC.

Ebay carries inexpensive lots of D.E.
I picked up a 50lb bag (looks like a feed bag, within a box) for around $26. That was back in 2016, and I'm still working thought it.
I've done everything with it, like add it too my pets wet food as an antiparasitic (dewormer, after a bad bout of fleas). When I moved into my home 2016 it was infested with fleas, silverfish, and spidies. 4 hours after brushing this into the carpet NO FLEAS! Silver fish vanished.. Spidies I've can write a book as to what has & has not worked.
I stand behind DoYourOwn.com for valuable information! Cheaper than an exterminator and most customer service techs there are 'human'. Understanding.
I'm a DIY'er to the core. If I can learn it, I DO IT. Plus, I can't con myself. I wish there was a spray or powder to eliminate con's too. (sigh)

It looks like some kind of weevil. If you vacuum them up and do a good cleaning and they return, look around to see if there are things like boxed goods (rice, cereal, etc.) that are infested.

These often come home with you from the grocery store.

Usually a good cleaning gets rid of them.

Post back with an update.
