What's This Plant?

I was wondering what plant this? This is the first time that it's grown by our yard in the 10+ years that we've lived here. If it helps I live in PA.

I had some of this several years ago when I had a pond and it did well in a wet home.
I could not remember the name so I ask a friend who still has some of this plant and she said it had many names but her mother had always called it "Bur Sedge".

Now I see that other's are saying this also.
It stays green all year in zone 9 but not sure how it does in other zones. Seems to loves mud or boggy soil.

This is Bur Sedge. It grows well along ponds and streams, where the soil is consistently moist. It grows in zones 3-9, and flowers May-July depending on zone. For more info, go to: www.prairienursery.com/bur-sedge-carex-grayi.html.

The plants look like a wild garlic plant to me. The bulbs will open up and flower over time.
