When you buy cake frosting from the store, whip it with your mixer for a few minutes. You can double the size and frost more cake or cupcakes with same amount. You also reduce sugar and calories.

Not only is this frugal but it cuts calories and makes it more nutritious. Whip frosting to get more out of it and put less on the cake or cupcakes.

I wouldn't have believed this but it works! If you whip store bought frosting, with a mixer, it will double in size. It is light, easy to work with and frosts double the amount of cake or cupcakes.

Also, if you microwave that store bought frosting, it will become liquid. You can then use it warm to dip pretzels, cake cubes, marshmallows or whatever.

The the frosting will harden and make a "shell". Fun to try.

Stretching Frosting

It also makes the frosting lighter and fluffier and much nicer to work with. Love this tip, use it all the time.
