Make a square frame using four popsicle sticks. Glue construction paper to the back of them. Have the child draw a picture of themselves or them and their mommy. Decorate it as you'd like using glitter, stickers, whatever you'd like.
For my mother last year I took a plain board (9x11 inches) and sanded it smooth. Then I let my children pick 3 different colored craft paints that matched. I primed the board and gave it a base coat of one of their color picks.

Any good ideas for a Mother's Day gift which is homemade?
I need some easy, fun crafts and things to do and give to my mother on Mother's Day. I am looking for things from the heart, hand made. I appreciate any or all of your help and will, of course, read every reply.
I have many rolls of various colored crepe paper streamers. I would like to have my Sunday School class (grades 1-4) make something for Mother's day out of them. Perhaps someone has instructions on how to make flowers out of them? Any other ideas?
